It can pay to stop by the shop often – as we mentioned last week, we had a number of consignment guns come through recently. Many were sold the instant they went out for sale, which means they never made it into the newsletter. These included several Colt Python revolvers, a “Broomhandle” Mauser, and some really nice Italian shotguns. We can’t predict when these guns will come in, but we do have several customers who stop by frequently just to see what’s new. A word to the wise!
Just a friendly reminder to keep your eyes on our Facebook & Twitter posts! If you are looking for a certain rifle, pistol or shotgun, or ammo, following us on social media gets you the fastest information on what we have in stock. There are buttons on our website for Facebook & Twitter to make it as easy as possible.
Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. If there is anything you would like to see in this newsletter, drop us a line and let us know!

Do you know someone who is new to the shooting sport, and needs training? There is an excellent course being taught each month by Bill Tidwell, at the Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club. This is an all-day course that covers everything for the new shooter, including how firearms work, safety, cleaning, purchasing, and the fundamentals of marksmanship. There are separate courses for Pistol and Shotgun. The Pistol course is taught the first Saturday of each month, and the shotgun course is taught the next day. For more information, and to sign up for a class, visit www.train2besafe.com
The next 35-state CCW course will be held on Sunday, May 17th, from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm. The $150 course fee includes all the required training, plus photos, notarized document, and fingerprinting required for your Utah non-resident CCW, plus the required training & photo needed for your Florida non-resident CCW. Sign up at http://www.alphasafetytraining.net/ Please note that this course now qualifies you for an Arizona permit, however, the Arizona permit is no longer honored in Nevada. One could start a career tracking what CCWs are honored in what states!
The next reloading class will be held on a future Saturday, to be announced, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. The $80 course fee covers all materials needed for the class. You will receive hands-on training with an RCBS rock chucker single-stage press as well as a Dillon progressive press. Lecture topics include precision reloading for the long-range rifle shooter as well as high-volume reloading for pistol & action shooters. Secure your place in the course by prepaying (cash only, please) at the shop.
